Jess Taylor
Jess Taylor, our soprano player, is a woodwind multi-instrumentalist based in West Yorkshire. Since graduating from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in 2021 with a first-class honours degree, she now works as a peripatetic teacher for Musica Kirklees passing on her knowledge to the next generation of young instrumentalists. As well as performing with Wisteria Quartet and Purple Cosmos, she also enjoys playing as a soloist for weddings and functions, and playing in pit bands for musical theatre shows..

Abbie Lingard
Abbie Lingard, our alto player, is a saxophonist and flautist based in South Yorkshire. Abbie graduated from the University of Birmingham in 2017, having majored in performance on saxophone. Since graduating, Abbie has completed a PGCE in Secondary Music and now teaches in a local secondary school. She enjoys playing and listening to a wide variety of music.
James Curgenven
James Curgenven is the newest addition to Wisteria quartet, joining as our tenor player. Since graduating with a masters degree from the University of Hull in 2021, James has begun a varied freelance career. He teaches woodwind for both Musica Kirklees and Bradford Music and Arts Service and also gigs regularly with bands such as Special Bru and Karmic Script.
Hannah Garnett, our baritone player, is a multi-instrumentalist from Leeds. She recently graduated from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama with a degree in classical saxophone, as well as gaining a teaching diploma. Since graduating she has taken on peripatetic teaching with Artforms music service, along with some private teaching and performing. Alongside her playing she enjoys arranging music for the quartet.
